Freak Funk Boy is dead on… Brooklyn-based duo Greatest Hits produces some of the weirdest basement indie jams I’ve heard in a hot minute. Little can be gathered about them since their name is quite google-unfriendly, but maybe that was the intention. In any case, the jams are delightfully funked out and I’ll be on the lookout for any local shows, though word on the street is that the band might be a little tied up in their side projects.
In the meantime, you can stream a quirky B-Side from an upcoming 7” release with Japanese record label Sixteen Tambourines and download two of their past singles from 2010. First 100 pre-orders get some slick red vinyl!
