Serenades – “Birds”

How can someone so sad, make music so glad?

Of course, it had to be Sweden. Ethereal, floating indie pop – apparently Sweden’s #1 export outside of meatballs (gotta find some new Sweden jokes). Anyway, I’m getting off track here. Here’s yet ANOTHER fantastic pop song from the magical land of rainbow unicorns, this time from Serenades – now known to be Adam Olenius from Shout Out Louds and Markus Krunegård from Laasko. This isn’t their usual cup of tea, but damned if they can’t be happy when they want to be.

It’s a couple months old now but who cares, “Birds” is solid pop and I’m ashamed of myself for not posting it earlier. Sometimes music doesn’t need a long, explanatory exposition. You can just dig it.
