Recently, in private conversation, I had mused that perhaps Scotland is losing its luster as a stronghold of indie music. And then like a bitch slap to the ear, I came across Miniature Dinosaurs – a ridiculously infectious indie pop outfit from Stirling (I guess the heavier bands all move to Glasgow). Lead singer Barry MacLean’s voice sounds like the second coming of Fred Schneider, leading a delightful indie rock dance party for the new generation.
Miniature Dinosaurs are now on Integrity Records with an EP in the works. For now we’ll stick with “Lemonade.”
