Flashback Friday: France Gall – “Laisser Tombe Les Filles”

No funny captions today, France Gall is a class act

We’re reaching really far back to 1964 for this round of Flashback Friday. France Gall is a popular yé-yé singer whose career spans four decades of great French pop music. A lot of her early work was written by famed French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg, who wrote the lyrics to today’s track. “Laisser Tombe Les Filles” is a song about karma… how the lover who wronged her will eventually get his.

But at the end of the day, you don’t have to get that deep or even give a damn what the song is about. It’s just a great sounding pop song. Enjoy.
