At this point it should be assumed that anything Danger Mouse touches is gold (at least until that rumored U2 album comes out). Los Angeles-based indie pop duo Electric Guest is the latest beneficiary of the magic Mouse. Instead of collaborating with established music acts as is his usual strategy, Danger Mouse is taking a chance on bringing attention to an unknown group.
Still, after listening to “This Head I Hold” it doesn’t sound like he’s taking much of a chance. Electric Guest’s Motown-inspired indie pop is going to be a sure hit. Their debut LP Mondo is set to drop April 24th and you’re certain to be hearing more about them during SXSW. Don’t forget to check out “Troubleman” and “American Daydream” from their Bandcamp page.

Oh snap, dude. I had no idea about the Pelican City thing. Listening on YouTube right now and yeah, it’s totally brilliant. Everything Danger Mouse does is wonderful. Do you like much hip hop? The shit he did with Jemini is one of my all time favorite albums.
