Beastie Boys – “Make Some Noise”

Thought I told ya that we don't stop, thought I told ya that we don't stop

Yeaaaaahhhhh boi! Beastie Boys are back on the scene with a brand new track off their upcoming full length Hot Sauce Committee Part Two, their first album since 2007. They obviously haven’t lost any steam, as evidenced by the release of “Make Some Noise,” the first cut off the new LP. A very fuzz-nasty, minimalist beat is evocative of traditional Beastie Boys fare, despite MCA’s claim that the new album would be a radically different sound.

That’s not a knock, either. This stuff is hot, not to mention that these guys are in their mid 40s. The rhymes are still fresh and they’re bring massive energy on the track. Apparently the song had been leaked out so the Beastie Boys threw it up on their Tumblr as a teaser. They’ll be releasing a limited edition 7” vinyl single on Record Store Day 2011 with a Passion Pit remix as the b-side.

Long live the Beastie Boys!
